Take your Notion pages to your Kindle, turned into a book

The ZIP is opened in your browser: your notes never touch our server unless you choose to email the book.

How it reaches your Kindle

  1. Approve our sender at Amazon (first time only)

    Amazon only delivers documents from senders you have approved, and it discards everything else without telling you — no bounce, no error message. Add this address to your approved list:

    send@books.getsapiens.com

    Open your Amazon document settings Once there: Preferences → Personal Document Settings → Approved Personal Document E-mail List → Add a new approved e-mail address.

    Buy from a different Amazon store? Open the same page on yours — amazon.co.uk, amazon.es, amazon.com.mx and the rest all have it.

  2. Copy your own @kindle.com address

    It's on that same Amazon screen, under «Send-to-Kindle E-Mail Settings». Each device has its own, shaped like name_123@kindle.com. This is your Kindle's address, not the email you sign in to Amazon with.

  3. Paste, send, sync

    Paste your text above, enter your @kindle.com address and hit send. With your Kindle on wifi, the book lands in your library within a couple of minutes.

Your Notion export, opened in the browser and bound as one book

Notion exports beautifully and then leaves you with a folder of Markdown files named after object ids. This page takes that ZIP exactly as it downloads — no unzipping, no renaming — reads the pages inside, and binds them into a single EPUB with one page per chapter. It is the quickest way to read a wiki, a set of meeting notes or a research database somewhere other than the screen you also work on.

  • Upload the ZIP as it comes out of Notion: «Export → Markdown & CSV», subpages included if you asked for them.
  • The object id Notion glues onto every filename is stripped, so chapters are titled the way your pages are.
  • A page's title is not repeated inside its own chapter, and pages keep the order they were exported in.
  • Keeps headings, lists, quotes, bold and code; drops images, links, tables and the CSV databases Notion exports alongside your pages.
  • Or paste one page's Markdown, if one page is all you wanted.

How do I export from Notion?

Open the page, «···» → Export, format «Markdown & CSV», and turn on «Include subpages» if you want the whole tree. Notion hands you a ZIP; upload that file here as it is.

Do I need to unzip it first?

No. The ZIP is opened inside your browser, and only the Markdown pages in it are read.

What happens to databases, tables and images?

They are left out. Notion exports databases as CSV files, and this builds a book out of prose — so a page that is mostly a table arrives mostly empty. Look at the result before you send it.

Does anything reach your server?

No. Unzipping, parsing and EPUB generation all happen on your machine. Only the optional «email it to my Kindle» step uploads the finished book.

Can I go the other way — Kindle highlights into Notion?

Yes, with the highlights tool below: it exports a CSV shaped for Notion's «Import → CSV», where each highlight becomes a page.
